Andalites ate my brain.

I meant to have this finished in time for New Year's, but it wasn't happening. Ah well, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all, have a wonderful new year of 2007. Here's to another year of pondering how to kiss without a mouth, and let this be a lesson that colouring fur is a pain in the ... er, tail.

Andalites copyrighted by Katherine Applegate, who probably never intended for this.

RACHEL'S CHEATIN' ON TOBIAS WITH AX!!!

Actually, I think I did this to Taro once, and there wasn't even any mistletoe involved 8D

Who wouldn't? C'mon, they're big blue deer centaur. They're so huggable... Well, I mean, except for that tail bit of course. But if you surprise them enough, they're too busy trying to cope with the fact that you are "biting" their face, to use it xD

Kissing ought to be totally alien to a race that eats with its feet. Is there anything in the literature about how Andalites express physical affection? I'd suspect something like running fingers through fur....

I love this! Good job!

Before you go, I wanted you to know that it's a beautiful, sunny, warm day. But don't let appearances fool you my dear: The sunshine doesn't stop the storm.

Heh ... biting the face ... that's fantastic. There must be mistletoe involved ... otherwise t'would be weird. ;)

Honestly though, I didn't plan on it being Rachel in this pic, (I think she'd go for the jugular, personally), just some random girl who *cough* curiously resembles a certain fancomic character ... but it could be anyone. Really =P

I think it's actually stroking the face with the fingers or palms, or touching tailblades and the like. It's all very sweet and restraintful ... which makes an impromptu glomping all the more hilarious to picture ;)

I think Ax mentions in one book that he thought kissing was actually sharing predigested food, like sparrows do. Which ... ew. Just ew.

Well, it _is_ hilarious; the expression on Ax's face makes it.

Somewhere I have an outline for a science fiction story in which humans are dealing with aliens that not only feed their young mouth-to-mouth, but transmit gametes mouth-to-mouth. There is a certain amount of mutual ewww. :) I suppose the closest Andalites could come to special infant feeding would be pre-stomping grass for the kids to stand on.
:iconkenthayle:
Yeah ... there really is a yuck factor when you think about mouths versus not ever having had one ... it's a big wet slimy hole in the face that foodstuff goes in (and sometimes out) of. I think Kat Applegate had some fun with that one ... One description from one of the chronicles books actually had me doubting they were describing a human, it was so weird-sounding from an Andalite's perspective. But I guess that's part of good sci-fi, getting a full-blown stare out someone -- or some*thing* -- else's eyes.

That's a great idea actually, about the gametes ... When you consider that a kiss between humans can be fairly innocent, whereas ... yeah. Hate to be the person who figured that one out by trial and error.

Ax once again bites off more than he can chew... or step on... It looks really good, and I love the look of surprise on Ax's face. It totally says 'oh crap, now what have I done?'

*Rejoices that the new review is wayyy better than the last.*

Last I checked you can kiss on a great many areas of the face with skin although mouth is most common or intimate or whatever you folks like to take it as.... :P
